For sale is a 1/5th scale version of the HOT CANARY; a home built pylon racer circa: 1970. This version of the Hot Canary has been designed exclusively for the Turnigy G60 motor and the Turnigy 4.0 lipo battery, however, similar motor/battery combinations should work.
William J Warwick designed and built the Warwick W-4 as a one of a kind homebuilt racing biplane. The Hot Canary was the first example of a reverse-stagger racing biplane ever built. The design allowed for better pilot visibility, when making pylon turns. It won the 1970 Florida Sport Biplane consolation race. It finished 4
th
at the 1970 Reno Air race, with an average speed of 163 mph. The best official speed was 170 mph at the Reno Air Races.
