GENERAL COMMENTS:
Retired heavy duty china platter 13.25"x9" made in PA by the closed Shenango China Company, New Castle PA.  The blue logo on edge of the platter is the Veterans Administration, which was retitled Department of Veterans Affairs in 1989 when it became a cabinet level agency.  The Native back stamp was discontinued in 1979.  So this piece was made before 1979.  All pieces fronts are clean with no scratches, chips or crazing.  Edges are rolled.  Only damage are chips on the base where plates sat on table or where stacked between service.  All logos have some degree of "muddiness" as the were reproduced in large numbers.
