    Description

Reproduction Union Army belt, brass emblem, cap box, scabbard, and .58 bayonet. I did classroom demonstrations and re-enactments for about 25 years and kept my gear and uniform in good shape with some wear and tear. It is time to sell it all, so see my other auctions to totally outfit and equip yourself into the 20th Maine (or pretty much any other Union infantry regiment). This also allows you to avoid the abuse heaped on newbies and their straight-from-the-sutler uniform and equipment. Ask if you have any questions. Sorry, due to massive increases in shipping costs, I can no longer combine shipping.
People asked questions so I added a couple more pics, but as you can pretty much tell, I am not a professional photographer.
People also asked for condition specifics: The belt is leather with minor wear here and there. The buckle is brass and is in pretty good shape. The cap box is (fur?) lined and has a brass clasp at the bottom. It is in good shape and the scabbard is fine as well. It has a number of either brass or copper rivets (not sure which) that attach it to the belt. The bayonet has very minor wear and is still sharp - these were poke-poke weapons, not slashing ones, although I wouldn't want to get swiped across the face with it. No, it hasn't stuck anyone, but I did drop the socket end on my foot when I took it out for pics. Nothing here is mint. I did a few hundred demonstrations for school kids and more than a few re-enactments. This stuff has been to Gettysburg (Not the actual battle or the movie, but you get the idea) so there is some wear and tear, and the brass will always have a hint of brass polish. You might notice that I mention brass polish a lot - If you do re-enactments, you will become very familiar with polishing.
