PAN-AMERICAN EXPOSITION INVERTS
Set of 3 U.S. "inverted center" postage stamps, issued in 2001, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Pan-American Exposition held in Buffalo, NY in 1901.
These stamps feature a 1c steamship, 2c locomotive and 4c electric car.
They are very similar in design to the 3 original error stamps where the centers were accidentally printed upside down. Considering that the originals are worth thousands of dollars, these are a much more affordable alternative!
