    Description

1/12 Scale Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird Ducted Fan/ Turbine Plans and Templates
You are bidding on a new set of plans for a Giant Scale  Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. It includes the Plans and templates/ patterns for cutting the parts for this great looking and flying scale airplane. The builder has the choice retracts or fixed gear.  The engine tube was designed for the Turbax fan unit. However, a 5 inch diameter turbine or electric fan unit could be substituted. Modification might be needed for those. This is a great flying plane and a very good scale design.  Other plans are for sale too. I'll be listing them as I pull them out. This plan is in perfect condition. All of my items come from a totally smoke free environment.
    PLEASE NOTE:

    The
    Lockheed SR-71
was an advanced, long-range, Mach 3 strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed from the Lockheed A-12 and YF-12A aircraft by the Lockheed Skunk Works as a Black Project. The SR-71 was unofficially named the
    Blackbird
    , and called the
    Habu
by its crews, referring to an Okinawan species of pit viper. Clarence "Kelly" Johnson was responsible for many of the design's innovative concepts. A defensive feature of the aircraft was its high speed and operating altitude, whereby, if a surface-to-air missile launch were detected, standard evasive action was simply to accelerate. The SR-71 line was in service from 1964 to 1998, with 12 of the 32 aircraft being destroyed in accidents, though none were lost to enemy action.
