    is a tool used to clean and shape the surface of a grinding wheel.  In addition to flattening the wheel to return it to its original shape, they can be used to make a different profile on the wheel surface or to balance the wheel.  These dressers are not thin electroplate.  The diamonds are throughout the head and may be used until the head is completely eroded, which will happen much more slowly than most grinding wheels.
