Confederate surcingle for use with Civil War saddles. These are made according to ordnance dept specifications using top quality American harness leather and correct hardware, the webbing is woven cotton webbing as were the originals. Correct for any Confederate issue saddle, some soldiers even used a second one as a breast strap since no breast straps were issued.
Do not be confused with tack shop knock-offs, this item is an authentic copy of the issued item, hand cut, and hand sewn as were the originals.
