Description
Taken on trade is one of the early canvas boxes, made in response to the hardcore desire to depict the shortages of the Confederacy during the war. Canvas body is painted with some black paint which was supposed to make the box waterproof, has heavy leather sides, inner flap with heavy leather ears, rigged for either sling or belt use. For some forgotten reason, the canvas buckle fixtures were left of white canvas (evidently as were the originals.) There is a round pewter finial which permits the box to be closed. The strap is new with a length of approximately 58 inches. Would work well for a teenager or a skinny hardcore trooper. Most items ship next day USPS. "THIS AIN'T NO MUSEUM, THIS STUFF IS FOR SALE!"
