    Description

    Great authentic Civil War Drum. The brass body has a deep aged patina.  The top and bottom Skins, Tension tugs, Snare tightener, Ropes and Cat gut snares are all original. There is no maker label on the inside. There are embossed stars on the leather rope tugs. The Federal government contracted with a German Drum Manufacturer in the early 1850's to supply brass snare drums for the U.S. Military. I started my CW collection with this drum 40 years ago. Displays Great.
