    Description

    This is a vintage copy of one of the largest and fanciest hat plates in the history of the United States military.
    This plate was worn by members of the New York State Fencibles militia unit on their large bearskin hats. Even as a reproduction this is an awesome and stunning piece with a center eagle and shield surrounded by a sunburst and flanked by muskets, drums, flags, cannon and cannon balls. The plate measures a huge 5 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches wide.
