for TWO classic rudder-only, early-days-of-RC kit models: the
MINNIE MAMBO
and the
NOMAD
sailplane.
The
NOMAD
appeared in a Flying Models magazine and then was kitted by a number of firms---Ace & Ecktronics. The
MINNIE MAMBO
was a Sterling kit.
YOU ARE PURCHASING TWO 100% SIZE
PLANS
, A CONSTRUCTION ARTICLE AND A SET OF PARTS PATTERNS FOR BOTH MODELS AS SHOWN ABOVE.
The 48" span
NOMAD
, power pod, rudder-only sailplane is for an .02 engine. The 36" span single channel
MINNIE MAMBO
takes a 1/2-A engine and would make a nice 2-channel RC trainer.
My last two picture show how Florida's

powered his
NOMAD
with an electric motor in a pusher configuration with a folding prop.
