    SHEETS   Assortment of 3M lapping film
    6 SHEETS

    This is an assorted set of 3M lapping film consisting of 1 EACH of .3,1, 3, 9, and 12, and 30 micron sheets,   These are the 8.5 x 11 inch sheets.  Easy to cut to any size you like. This is the real US Made 3M product not the cheap imported stuff that wears out in half the time.
    This set can be used as a super sharp knife sharpening system. Most of you already know how to apply and use these sheets; if not, there are many video guides on YouTube. These sheets have plenty of other hobby uses as well.
    IVORY = .3 micron = ~60,000 grit
    Green = 1 micron = - 14000
    PINK = 3 micron = ~7000 grit
    BLUE = 9 micron = ~1800 grit
    Yellow = 12 micron = ~1200 grit
    Dark Green = 30 Micron 600 grit
    The .3 micron is so fine it is hard to tell which side of the sheet it is on. A little secret for using the .3 micron; This sheet is awesome for stropping the final edge or touching up a razor edge. The sheet needs a little bit of a cushion to get that perfect edge. Place a wet piece of paper or wet paper towel on your sharpening surface and then place your .3um sheet on top of that. Moisten the top of the sheet and draw your blade lightly across evenly stroked on both sides. Perfection.
    These are the plain non PVA backed sheets.
    Remove and re-apply these sheets on my sharpening surface as needed. There cannot be a bubble, hair, piece of lint or any debris under your film or it will tear during use. The PVA sheets have an adhesive on the back that is a dust and debris collector and difficult if not impossible to clean once removed. The non-pva sheets are very easy to keep clean and re-apply time after time with just a little water.
    All films should be used for wet sanding only. If you have no idea how to use it, please go to Youtube,
