1950s Tiny Tears Doll Factory Pink & White Dress, Hat & Original Diaper 15 - 16"

This outfit was part of the wardrobe of an early, 15 1/2" Tiny Tears doll, the molded hair variety that made her debut in 1950 and was manufactured until 1955 (when she was replaced by an updated model). Included here are her iconic pink and white dress, matching bonnet or hat, and original diaper. Tiny Tears clothing was never tagged, but the distinctive lace and buttons used, and specific fabric, makes identifying the pieces fairly simple. The dress here has all it's original buttons -- two decorative pink ones on the front bodice, and two functioning white buttons to close the garment in back. The dress has a white bodice now slightly yellowed with age, trimmed in lace. The pink skirt fabric has a fine vertical rib texture, the fabric used on clothing for the first Tiny Tears dolls. The matching bonnet is of the same fabrics, and has the original pink ribbon ties. The diaper is of a textured cotton with pale pink thread binding the edges.
The dress has a tiny, true pin hole on back on the bodice; please see close up photo. The diaper has minor wear to the edges, and a few light/small marks. I have not tried to launder the set, which is faintly yellowed from age. Please measure your doll before you bid so you know this will fit. The molded hair Tiny Tears did not have puffy hair like the later dolls, so if yours has big hair, measure for the bonnet. Bonnet is 10.25" from front corner to corner going over the top along the front perimeter. From corner to corner behind the neck is 6". The dress is about 12" around the waist seam. Nonsmoking home.
