1950's American Character Doll "Tiny Tears" 11 1/2 inches
This adorable and iconic Tiny Tears doll made in the 1950's was very popular back in the day. It was all about being a "real mommy" and was advertised on television frequently. She is extremely hard to find in this good of condition since she was made out of rubber and drank water.
Back of neck reads-
"AMER. CHAR. DOLL PAT. NO. 2.675.644"
She is wearing a pink and white dress and bonnet which appears to be like the original ones found online. I am unclear if the shoes and socks are original but are definitely the correct time period. I added some new laces since the old ones were too damaged to tie into a bow. Please note:
This doll was bought from an estate sale so I don't know the history behind her.
The full one piece undergarment is from the late 1940's and I think it belonged to one of my older dolls but fit her perfectly. I really love this style and decided to dress her in it.
May have come from my no longer, melted Effanbee Dy-Dee baby doll?
Auburn saran hair is shiny and clean. Visible yellow/brownish glue stain on upper forehead and a little on back of head line.

She has the signature dots in both corners of her blue eyes. Eyelashes are full and intact with under lashes painted.
Pink lips have wonderful coloring and of course she is a drinker and wetter :)
Left pinky finger broke when taking her out of storage but I glued it back on so I would not lose it.
If you bend her legs you will see some cracks which unfortunately, is the nature of rubber used during this time period.
Overall, she is in wonderful condition and would be a gem to anyones doll collection.

A little added information.......I am an elderly women who has a passion for finding vintage dolls and clothing from estate and garage sales. My purchases are based on dolls or clothing that I would love for my own collection but am unable to keep every found treasure. Many of the dolls that I will be listing is from my own collection and from various estate sales or friends.
