1859 French Issue Canteen - Campaigner Grade

This is a reproduction French Army issue canteen of about 1859, manufactured by Eugene Gapanov
. Although it is shaped like aBartolomae canteen, please do not confuse it as one.  This is a much simpler design and was purchased by contractors both north and south for issue to troops early in the civil war. It makes for a unique piece of kit for your impression.
I have provided as many photographs as I can to help answer your questions in advance; however, feel free to message me with any pertinent questions.
